EXCLUSIVE: Fireman Mark Orlando arrives at the Burning Love mansion to meet his future wife. Will she be beautiful, smart, ethnic? Only time will tell. One thing is for sure, he’s going to have a tough time narrowing it down to one woman. Can’t he have two?
But wait… there’s MORE!!
I had the best Monday ever this week when I was asked to be a guest on The Kevin and Bean Show on the World Famous KROQ. I have been a huge fan for years longer than I’ve been a reality tv casting director, and it was truly an honor to be in their presence.
Did you miss it? Listen to it here! It’s edited down an everything!
Hate to be the bearer of bad news when it comes to reality tv casting advice, but Casting Directors DO NOT like giving out their phone numbers! So… if you’ve recently applied, auditioned or open call’ed your ass off and are waiting for that call — it’s most likely gonna come from a BLOCKED or UNKNOWN number.
Pick. It. Up.
And watch this video:
PS – Sorry for the stretched video – it’ll get fixed eventually, but I wanted to get this up!
Okay, so you’ve just filmed the most amazing Amazing Race audition video ever. Or, maybe you just sung your heart out for the next season of The Voice. Or, maybe the reason you skipped work or school today and ran around with your Flipcam like a crazy person was for Survivor, Big Brother, or the The Bachelorette.
Now, the moment of truth has arrived. It’s time to submit!
STOP! Before you hit that submit button and put your fate in a reality TV casting directors hands, take a day to sit on it. You’ve been all up your audition video’s business for quite a while and you need a little perspective. You need to sit back and ask yourself – is this the best my video is going to be?
Remember, just because it took you hours or days to film, doesn’t mean it’s winning an Oscar (or winning over the casting director). Watch my video for more tips and tricks on what to do BEFORE you hit submit on your reality television application video.

Spoofing reality TV is an art and Ben Stiller, Ken Marino, and even former Bachelor Jake Pavelka are true Monets.
Take a look at what is bound to be a huge hit, the new “show” Burning Love:
Reality Nation had this to say: At first look, Burning Love looks like your typical wacked out dating show. There’s the cocky bachelor, the creepy host, the slutty contestants, the old one. Then you notice some familiar faces like Ben Stiller, Kristen Bell and Adam Scott.
Produced by Ben Stiller, other faces you might recognize are Stiller’s wife Christine Taylor, Michael Ian Black and Ken Marino as the bachelor. Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka even makes a cameo.
Burning Love debuts June 4 on Yahoo!, so be on the lookout. You can also follow Marino’s character on Twitter.
Um, I’m so watching this. Are you?
When it comes to auditioning for reality tv, which is more important, the Application or Video?
I’m asked this question a lot. While they are both important, the answer to that is… watch the video! :)
How Can I Learn From Reality TV Rejection?
No, that’s not a typo – an SAQ is a Should Ask Question. Unlike an FAQ, an SAQ is a question you SHOULD be asking, but might not know to ask. So, instead of asking Why Did I Get Rejected?, you SHOULD be asking: What Can I Do To NOT Get Rejected In The Future?

The apple bottomed beauty was doing what she does best – standing there looking pretty – when a gal came up from behind and dumped a sack of flour on her head.
Kim was pimping out her new perfume at The London hotel in West Hollywood last night when an alleged anti-fur animal advocate came up behind Kim and sacked her glossy mane with a bag of flour. Kim was immediately whisked away to safety.
While no one should ever be subjected to a hair do full of flour, I found it kind of hilarious. Not what happened to Kim – mind you. What I find funny is that if you look closely, you can see Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, STILL POSING for pictures AFTER her daughter was attacked by cake ingredients.
Got a nice wake up call from Grandma this AM informing me that I’m on Good Morning America! The lovely Deborah Roberts went on the show to talk about tonight’s show!
